The Feeling
The lake. Las amigas. Nowhere else to be.
We don’t come up here to escape life — we come para recordar como nos gusta vivirla. Inhibitions down, inner wild loose, however that shows up that year.
Paddle board out. Kayak. Float with your flotador with no agenda. Perreo, to us, is that wildness with a beat under it — letting loose, not caring who’s watching. Joy that lives en el cuerpo before it reaches your head.
Every year is different. It depends on who’s there, what each amiga shares, the mood the montaña is in that weekend. No itinerary captures that.
Qué es Campear y Perrear?
It’s not a retreat. It’s a fogata que no se apaga.
We created Campear y Perrear porque we wanted a way to camp that was completely ours — without leaving the perreo behind, the cafecito con chisme, or the fresh nails at the door of the tent.
The name says it all. Campear because las montañas belong to us just as much as anyone. Perrear because joy is ancestral too, and a bonfire with good music is just as sacred as a quiet hike.
What makes us different isn’t the location — it’s who’s in the circle, and how fully we let ourselves be el fin de semana.
Our Story
It started with three besties. Kim, Ned, and Miyuki packed up for one weekend to disconnect and be with each other — almas salvajes in the wild.
It was so good, so simple, so exactly what our souls needed that we had to do it again. Seven years later, it's the trip the Amigahood circles back to every single time. Año tras año — you'd think it'd be the same trip. It never is.
Every Year Writes Its Own Story
one year…
we skinny dipped into the lake at midnight and howled at the full moon — unleashing our inner loba.
another year…
a bear wandered into camp right at sunrise. We named him Osito Clarkson.
another year…
amigas brought piyamas de onsies and had a mystical creature baile around the campfire.
What It’s Like
We don't change how we dress to fit into the outdoors. We just bring ourselves outdoors.
Hoop earrings. Chanclas. Sarapes. Huipil. Loud laughs. Spanglish. Perreo. Cafecito. Tecito. Vibey playlists. Our whole selves belong here.
Everyone cooks. Everyone cleans. Somos comadres — so we all help take care of each other.
We leave camp better than we found it, porque taking care of Madre Tierra is just another way we take care of each other.
These trips are intentional — years of Wilderness First Aid, Leave No Trace training, and work with outdoor orgs shape everything behind the scenes, so Campear y Perrear stays safe, informed, and curated for las amigas, while nunca perdiendo nuestro sazón.

Any amiga who feels the pull. No experience needed.

Que importa, te enseñamos! Perreo is an invitation, not a requirement. Watch, sing, or just sit by the fire. Osea, haz lo que te pegue la gana.
-
Not at all. We help each other out desde el principio.
-
Claro! Most of us did, the first time. You leave with comadres.

Amigas, ya saben — las cuidamos. You’ll hear about it a day before it goes public. Watch the chat!
