Carol

Amiga Airlines Pilota

  • I’m Carol Martinez, proud Latina, and hija of Guatemalan immigrants who settled in Los Ángeles in the early '80s. Growing up with four brothers and one sister, I was always entertained and that usually meant out en la calle.

    De temprana edad, there was a spark of passion for community, recreation, y educación. Having flown to more than 20+ countries, connecting & learning from natives, eating comida auténtica, and creating unforgettable memorias have been a priority in every aventura. As a Pilota for Adventure Amigas my passions for travel and community se juntan to create magia.

Zafira

La Madrehood Madresota

  • Hola, my name is Zafira!

    I am a mom of two girls and a Siberian husky. I love spending time with Mother Earth and teaching my girls how to care and respect her. With more than 10 years under my belt working in education and the mental health field, I understand the value of creating and sustaining community.

    I enjoy creating art, reading, cooking, and anything related to being outdoors. When I became pregnant with my second baby, I swore I wouldn’t give up on my interests just because I was having a baby. Too often we hear, “your life ends when you have a baby”—pero eso no es cierto!

    I vowed to take my baby with me on all my aventuras—to teach her and show her the beauty that is Pachamama. To commune with her the way our ancestors did. I vowed to pass down that sacred knowledge.

    While it can be hard navigating being a mami, it’s a rewarding opportunity to do things differently. Here’s to creating a beautiful community to keep raising amazing and powerful babies!

Heart of Adventure Amigas

  • Quibole, pretty people?! I’m Ned, a first-gen Chicanade aquí y de allá, proud daughter of immigrants, and LA native (ye as, the Valley counts, lmao). Mis raíces son de Baja California; soy Cachanilla, a borderland baby. 🌵

    I envision a world where all mujeres live authentically, wild & free without fear or giving a $h!t que diga la gente. 💅🏽

    I believe that aventura, amor, y amistad are the pillars of joy we experience en esta vida loca, with amor encompassing love for self, one another, and our planet.

    The purpose of Adventure Amigas is to provide a sense of belonging so that you can exist as uniquely as you are in the adventure of life.
